Sock Monkey Madness!!!!
Scott's... he's funny.
Both of these are Mike's sock monkeys, because he always has to be awesome at everything.
Jamars Nicholas!
Mike had another awesome Drawing Party a.k.a. BBQ. Even though it rained like hell he went out grilled in the rain like a man should. No coat, no umbrella. For those of you who don't know him, he's a hardcore mo' fo'. Good tid bit of info for you. Well I made my famous pasteles. Beef, potato, Adobo.... etc. goodness! People who don't know me are seriously missing out on the cuisine. Jamar, Scott, Echo and Sheila came to the gala event. It was drawing happiness all around.
Me!!!
We spent most of the time listening to Jamar's hilarious stories and drawing. Eating was a bonus in my opinion. Having really good people around while I'm sketching also made me feel blissfully happy. Can ya' tell I had fun? Can ya', can ya'?

Sunsets, Binoculars, and Carcasses
This week I've been spending a lot of time down by the beach. When I feel flustered I always enjoy looking at the water and smelling the sea air. It calms me down after a crazy week. My friend Sheila, Alan and I went down to West View Shores in Maryland and watched the sunset. It was one of the most relaxing things anyone could do. You can hear the water breaking on the rocks and the seaguls flying over head, and the fish swimming around. Later this week I went back with Alan and sketched him on the beach and the boats floating by.
Walking around and searching for any old washed up things on the sand is sort of exciting. I'm very easily amused.
Looking through the binoculars at the sun is very filmesque. It looked like a scene out of an Akira Kurasawa's films. It was gorgeous.
This, at the bottom here, I found on the way to the beach. It was so barbaric and shocking to find. Someone shot it, chopped the head off and dumped the body on the side of the road. It sucked. I even felt bad taking this pic but I couldn't pass up taking a pic either. It's the photographer in me.

The Barn and Borders
I spent Wednesday with Sheila for her birthday. I just showed up at her house pretty early and we decided to get some coffee and re-visited the barn. It was really nice that day. The whole day it was kinda sunny and windy and the air was clean. It was just a nice calm day. She bought a polaroid camera for herself and took some polaroids while we were there.

Shoes 'N' Sheila
My friend Sheila was working on a portfolio for a fashion photo opportunity. We stayed up until the late hours of the morning working on it. Also worked on her resume. She didn't realize how much photo experience she'd had until writing the resume.
Alan came over this weekend. He was working on some drawings in photoshop here.
